We are proud to continue our partnership with the many San José arts organizations that provide educational and entertaining experiences to your students. San José has an exceptional array of quality arts opportunities, and the generosity of our arts groups provides these opportunities to students through Arts Express. It is the hard work of dedicated teachers, however, that makes all of this possible. It is you who seek out arts experiences to enrich your students' education. We hope that we have made the process easier for you by compiling this resource of free arts experiences appropriate for students in grades 4 through 12. A significant body of research demonstrates the positive impact of the arts on student learning and development. We believe that the experiences offered through Arts Express will enrich and enhance the work that you do in the classroom to develop a generation of young people prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow with imagination, creativity and tolerance. As educators you also open the doors to our next generation of artists, dancers, musicians, performers, and all who engage in the arts!
