The Office of Cultural Affairs is the champion of  San Jose's artistic and cultural vibrancy, resources, and vision. 

We are the City of San José's lead agency for supporting the development of a rich arts and cultural environment for this diverse city's one million residents and its many visitors.  The arts and culture are essential elements in the character and quality of life in the vibrant San José community. Job Announcement - Senior Events Coordinator position

We are currently seeking a creative, motivated events professional to fill a vacant Senior Events Coordinator position. The vacant Senior Events Coordinator position is a critical member of the Special Events Team. 

This is a high profile position requiring extensive event coordination experience, education and strong skills including diplomacy, communications and political awareness. Outdoor special event activities include:  working cross-departmentally with multiple government agencies to permit outdoor special event on public and private property, managing community and business outreach, mitigating event-related issues, assisting with policy development, implementing special event initiatives and enforcement of Municipal Code regulations.
